Dr. Hopkins’ professional journey began with his graduation from Southern College of Optometry in 2011. Dr Hopkins practices full-scope comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on the prevention and management of ocular disease. His expertise spans a wide array of conditions, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eye, cataracts, injuries, infections, and more. In addition to his comprehensive eye care, Dr. Hopkins is skilled in contact lens fittings and provides essential referrals for surgeries when required.
Originating from a small town in central Illinois, Dr. Hopkins' formative years were shaped by his accomplishments as both an exceptional athlete and student. These early experiences led him to meet and eventually marry his high school sweetheart, marking the beginning of a cherished family life. He and his beloved wife are blessed with two beautiful daughters, further enriching their family-centric lifestyle.
His passion for improving people's vision is fueled by his innate compassion and attention to detail. Dr. Hopkins treats each patient with the same level of care and respect as he would his own family, focusing on maximizing their vision and quality of life.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Hopkins enjoys having fun with his family and friends, whether it’s watching sporting events, sharing moments while cooking or grilling, or engaging in outdoor activities.
