Our doctors and staff of the Southern Illinois Eyecare offices realize that each individual patient is a vital, essential part of the practice. The patient is always given professional, courteous service in our offices. We are attentive to the needs of the patient and provide an atmosphere that is comfortable and welcoming. Our patients are shown respect by the personalized service we give. We strive to not only meet our patients' expectations but to exceed them by providing the highest quality care in a friendly, positive environment.

It is the purpose of our office to deliver the highest quality vision care to our patients. Our genuine enthusiasm and excellent service combine to create happy and healthy patients who return for recommended follow-up care and refer family and friends to our office.

Meet Our Doctors

  • Dr. Joseph Grasso

    Dr. Joseph Grasso is a 1975 graduate of Illinois College of Optometry. Upon graduation, he married his wife Bernice E. Fitzgerald in Chicago and immediately left to serve four years in the Army as an optometrist.


  • Dr. Lawrence Soellner

    Dr. Lawrence Soellner is a 1990 graduate of Indiana University School of Optometry. His education began as a passion for vision research and neurophysiology at Purdue University.


  • Dr. Carolyn Gibson

    Dr. Carolyn Gibson graduated from the University of Missouri School of Optometry in 1995. Dr. Gibson also completed a hospital based residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tacoma, WA for ocular disease and low vision rehabilitation.
